Tribal nations from across the country will convene in Kansas City starting this weekend


WASHINGTON, D.C. | Tribal nations from across the country will convene in the Southern Plains Region at the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) 2018 Mid Year Conference & Marketplace (Mid Year) this Sunday, June 3 through Wednesday, June 6 at the Marriott Kansas City Downtown in Kansas City, Missouri.

Three General Assemblies, 16 Concurrent Breakout Sessions, over 40 speakers, a Pre Conference Data Institute, the 13th Annual Tribal Leader Scholar Forum (TLSF), two poster sessions, and a local cultural night are packed into the agenda. This year’s NCAI Mid Year presents an opportunity to see the positive impact tribal nations have made in the areas of taxation, workforce development, juvenile justice, opioids, policy research, research oversight, and more. Tribal leaders will also come together to provide input on proposed policies and legislation and develop winning Native Vote strategies.
