Brian Regan, the stand-up comedian best known for his perfect balance of sophisticated writing and physicality, is coming to the Chumash Casino Resort’s Samala Showroom at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018. Tickets for the show are $35, $45 & $55.

Fresh off last year's successful "Brian Regan: Nunchucks and Flamethrowers" Netflix comedy special, he has distinguished himself as one of the top acts on the comedy circuit and has embarked on a U.S. tour.

Regan grew up with seven brothers and sisters in Westchester, Florida. At a young age he took a liking to comedy and was a fan of well-known comedians Steve Martin, The Smoothers Brothers and Johnny Carson. He attended Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio with plans of becoming an accountant, but during his last semester in 1980, he dropped out to pursue stand-up comedy.

After leaving college, Regan returned to Florida and started working as a cook and dishwasher at the Comic Strip comedy club in Fort Lauderdale. He would perform regularly at the club, working out his material and delivery over the next five years. In 1986, he moved to New York City and within just two years, had made a name for himself. He became a star of the New York scene, winning K-ROQ Radio's "Funniest Person in New York" contest in 1988.

By the early '90s, Regan began making television appearances on late-night talk shows and starred in two Showtime stand-up specials. In both 1995 and 1996, he won the American Comedy Award for Best Club Comic. He released his first stand-up album, “Brian Regan Live,” in 1997, which to date has sold over 150,000 copies. In 2000, he taped his own “Comedy Central Presents” special and later in 2004, put out his own stand-up DVD, “I Walked on the Moon,” which was recorded live at the Irvine Improv.

In 2007, Regan signed a unique deal with Comedy Central to record two stand-up specials to air on the channel with a subsequent DVD release. The deal also included a show development with Regan and a stand-up theater tour, "Brian Regan in Concert: A Comedy Central Live Event." His first special, “Brian Regan: Standing Up”, debuted in June of 2007, followed by “The Epitome of Hyperbole,” in September of 2008.

In 2015, Regan recorded Comedy Central’s first ever live stand-up special, “Brian Regan: Live from Radio City Music Hall.”

Don’t miss an opportunity to see this comedic genius when he takes the stage in one of the most popular entertainment venues in Santa Barbara County.

Located on Highway 246 in Santa Ynez, California, the Chumash Casino Resort is an age 21-and-older venue. Tickets for all events are available at the Chumash Casino Resort’s Club Indulge or online at
