Rebrand Washington Football
On Saturday, December 8, members and friends of Rebrand Washington Football (RWF) will travel to the headquarters of Washington’s professional football team to deliver petitions demanding that the team change its name, which is a dictionary-defined racial slur.

This is the fourth December that RWF has delivered petitions to team headquarters. This year, the group will deliver petitions bearing over 1,800 signatures. Since RWF’s founding in 2015 as a grassroots organization to pressure the team to change its name, more than 7,100 members of the public have signed its petitions.
The delegation delivering the petitions will include members of RWF, Native American allies, and D.C. Councilmember David Grosso (At-Large). The event will feature remarks by participants as well as Indigenous songs and prayer.
