'Something Else Survey' closes on Tuesday, November 17

News Release

Center for Native American Youth at the Aspen Institute

Dear Relatives:

We’ll be brief. We would first like to thank you for your valuable collaboration and contribution to the Indigenous Futures Survey dissemination. Thank you for your commitment to democracy and the future of Indigenous people.

Unfortunately, with this historic election, we continue to see the erasure of Native people in polling and data. Today, the Native Organizers Alliance, Center for Native American Youth, IllumiNative, the University of Michigan and UC Berkeley, are launching the Something Else Survey. We need Native voters to challenge our erasure in voting data and demonstrate the strength and influence of our diverse peoples and Nations. It takes about 2 minutes to complete, and we are asking all Native and Indigenous peoples ages 18 and older to please complete this survey and to share it in your networks- it only takes a couple of minutes! The survey closes on Tuesday, November 17.

This survey is another opportunity for Native peoples to be heard and is a reminder that we are so much more than “something else.”

For any questions, please email cnayinfo@aspeninstitute.org. Thank you for using your voice, for mobilizing and continuing the work to increase visibility among Native people everywhere.
