Native activists to be recognized at Forward Montana's Rockstar Hall of Fame
Forward Montana, the state’s largest youth civic engagement organization, will be hosting the 6th Annual Rockstar Hall of Fame event on Saturday, April 20th at Goodworks Place. At the event, Forward Montana’s staff, board, and members will recognize and honor those rockin’ the Legislature, lugging gear bags full of clipboards, and rolling Montana forward. The inductees have supported Forward Montana’s mission of engaging and mobilizing young Montanans in the democratic process, as well as standing up for values important to young people, including equality, public lands, and election reform.
“We're thrilled to honor community members who have made such an impact on our state for young people,” says Executive Director Rachel Huff-Doria, “Rockstar Hall of Fame is a way we can celebrate those individuals who are working for a Montana where young people feel empowered to get involved in their communities.”
In addition to celebrating the inductees, Forward Montana hopes to expand its monthly Rockstar donor program to continue to mobilize and engage young Montanans in the democratic process. Forward Montana strives towards equality for all, environmental protection, education, election reform, economic strength and fairness, and access to healthcare.
The event will be held Saturday, April 20th, 2019, at Goodworks Place in Missoula at 6:30 pm. Food and beverages will be provided, along with the ceremony.
