Låvda Sápmi Screendance Festival

Låvda, is the world's first Sami screendance festival. The festival will take place in Jokkmokk during December 2021. You can participate live together with filmmakers and audiences in Jokkmokk, Sweden, but also online.

The festival is now looking for dance film / screen dance that have a clear relationship with Sápmi or other Indigenous cultures, who in some way involved indigenous dancers, filmmakers or choreographers.

Deadline for applicants is November 1, 2021.

Organized by the cultural association Aktavuohta.

The festival is funded by: the Swedish Arts Council, Swedish “sametinget”, Norrbotten Region and Jokkmokks culture department.

Collaborators: Stockholm Screnndance festival, Jokkmokk I rörelse, Invisible People Contemporary Dance Company and the Dance Consultant in the region of Norrbotten.
