Missing & Murdered Diné Relatives


Missing & Murdered Diné Relatives is proud to host its fifth community forum on March 24, 2020 at the Blanding Arts & Events Center in Blanding, Utah to discuss the missing and murdered issues affecting the Utah Navajo area, and to discuss state and federal initiatives addressing Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG)/Missing & Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP). 

The community forum will include two sessions:

Day Session 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: The day session is open to the public and would center on state and federal initiatives addressing the indigenous missing and murdered crisis and how it relates to Missing & Murdered Diné Relatives.

Evening Session 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: The evening session would provide community members Missing & Murdered Diné Relatives updates and to hear from families who have been affected by the missing and murdered crisis.

Both sessions only require a one-time registration submittal.

About Missing & Murdered Diné Relatives

The working group is comprised of volunteer members who come from a variety of backgrounds ranging from policy, leadership, social work, public health, epidemiology, injury prevention, students, and participating colleges.

In the spirit of collaboration, we hope to see you there and look forward to a fruitful discussion. As we move forward in this collective responsibility, we must remember to engage in K’é (family spirit). Our overall goal is to locate our Diné relatives, bring our missing home, and to continue protecting our people and children.
