State of New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department
Beginning June 9, 2021 the Oil Conservation Commission (OCC) will hold a hearing on the joint proposal by the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department and WildEarth Guardians on proposed amendments to Oil Conservation Division's release rules, NMAC 19.15.29. Additional details on how to attend the hearing and submit public comments are provided below.
There are multiple ways for members of the public to submit comments on the proposed rules. Written comments can be submitted through 5:00 pm on June 9, 2021. Comments can be mailed to Florene Davidson, Oil Conservation Commission Clerk, 3rd Floor, Wendell Chino Building, 1220 South St. Francis Drive, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 87505, or emailed to email@example.com or OCC.Hearings@state.nm.us.
To allow members of the public to make a public comment at the hearing, the Oil Conservation Commission is scheduling 3-minute timeslots during portions of the hearing schedule. To speak during the hearing, submit a request to Florene Davidson, Oil Conservation Commission Clerk, at one of the email addresses above by 5:00 p.m. on June 8, 2021. Individuals who sign up in advance of the date upon which they wish to comment shall receive 3 minutes for presentation. Individuals who sign up to comment on the same date on which they wish to comment will receive 2 minutes for presentation.
