We’ve taken to the streets to protest peacefully. We’ve toppled statues and racist mascots. We’re keeping our families and communities safe from Covid-19. We’ve seen how powerful we are when we come together—and it’s fueled our belief that a just, sustainable work is possible. Now, we’re using our unprecedented grassroots momentum to fight hard for that world.

  • Our Indigenous Peoples’ Day toolkit has been updated to meet the needs of advocates during COVID-19.
  • This week and through October 15, Comedy Central Digital is re-airing the “Invisible Nation” episode of Klepper, which explores why Indigenous peoples’ struggles are so often overlooked and features our founder and CEO, Crystal Echo Hawk. Comedy Central is encouraging viewers to donate to IllumiNative in the comment section on their YouTube.
  • Our Natives Vote campaign, in partnership with Native Organizers Alliance and First Peoples Worldwide, is working to build Native Peoples' visibility and political power by ensuring that our voices are heard at the polls in a historic Native voter turnout in November. Natives Vote brings together Native artists and storytellers with grassroots communities, organizers, and influencers to increase Native voter registration and mobilize a historic voter turnout across Indian Country.
  • On Wednesday, October 14 we will broadcast our second Natives Vote Town Hall on Facebook Live with discussions on the power of the youth vote and the importance of electing women of color to Congress.

  • Arizona (October 5)
  • New Mexico (October 6 for mail or online only)
  • Nevada (October 6 mail or in-person only)
  • New York (October 9 postmark date for mail registration; October 10 in-person registration)
  • North Carolina (October 9 postmarked by date)
  • Oklahoma (October 9 postmarked by date)
