Bethany Yellowtail, Northern Cheyenne, is the designer and founder of LA-based apparel brands B.Yellowtail and B.Yellowtail Collective. She attended RES 2022 in Las Vegas. ICT Editor Jourdan Bennett-Begaye interviewed her about her latest projects.

Mercedes Krause, Oglala Lakota, is running for Congress to represent Nevada's second congressional district. As primary day approaches, we learn about her platform and goals if elected.

  • A leading organization for students renamed itself as the Native Forward Scholars Fund. It was previously the American Indian Graduate Center.
  • In California, the San Francisco Unified School District will no longer use the word “chief” in job titles because of concerns from Native people.
  • Native students are continuing to exercise their right to wear regalia during graduation ceremonies.
  • In Montana, over 3,000 new and gently used children’s books were delivered to the Chippewa Cree Tribe in early May. ICT's Kaitlin Onawa Boysel reports.
