The annual convention of the Alaska Federation of Natives brings artists from around the state to a central location and market. It’s a world class art fair and many artists, and patrons, plan all year for the event. This year the convention is in Fairbanks.

One artist, Peter Lind, Jr., Alutiiq, says in addition to the business potential, AFN represents a chance for the community of Native artists to come together, catch up, and share stories.
