There is nothing wrong with being a "cowboy." If the history of the original cowboy was known then it would be known that the original true cowboy was the Mexican cowboy. The original cowboy was hard working and hard playing and most of the dress and words come from the original cowboy's life style. The European gave the bad name to the cowboy when they discovered the culture. They loved the culture so much they copied it then completely took the culture and made the brand their own. Everything was taken the entire culture from the dress to the terminology. Realistically, what did the British, Irish, Jews, or any of the Europeans know about being a cowboy? Nothing! Mexican cowboys lived very comfortably with most Indian tribes before the coming of the European. The Mexican never practiced genocide but the main goal of the European was to take the land from the indigenous. As they started stealing the land, committing genocide and ethnic cleansing they were also stealing the cowboy culture. They gave the cowboy culture the bad name and reputation. But there is nothing wrong with the cowboy and it should be given back to the Mexican.
