News Release

Advocates for Indigenous California Language Survival

Please join us in commemorating and exploring the forced relocation of Nüümu (Paiute) from Payahüünadü (Owens Valley) and Nisei (Japanese American) to Payahüünadü and the resulting cultural dislocation. We hope efforts like this will remind our country of the consequences of failing to understand our history.

Join Nüümu and Nisei who were personally affected or whose families and community were affected by forced relocation as they share their experiences and perspectives.

Date: June 30, 2020

Time: 5:30-7:00 p.m.
