The event will include the lighting of decorations for the tree and luminarias for the Navajo Nation Council Chamber. Hot cocoa and apple cider will also be available.

The Navajo Forestry and Heritage & Historic Preservation Departments assisted the Office of the Speaker in the cultural and environmental assessments and offerings to use the tree. The Legislative Branch staff will decorate the tree over the next few days with assistance from the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority.

Join the Navajo Nation Council, the Office of the Speaker, and the Legislative Branch as we light the tree and the Council Chamber luminarias!

Choir groups interested in performing a limited number of holiday songs are encouraged to reach Byron Shorty at (928) 287-2085 or nnlb.communications@gmail.com.

Happy Holidays from the 24th Navajo Nation Council!
