Tribal headquarters will be moved to the tribe's reservation, after spending 10 years in a rented building in Eureka. The federal Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded the Yuroks a $550,000 grant to build an office complex and community center on their reservation. The 30,000-square-foot building is expected to be built in Klamath. The reservation stretches along both sides of the Klamath river. The tribe's headquarters and community facilities are required to be on the reservation, but have not been because no suitable building was available.
