A Whiteriver man was sentenced Oct. 26 to one year in prison and fined $3,000 after pleading guilty to drug dealing on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation. Thomas Pacheco, 29, will have to serve three years of supervised probation upon his release from prison. Undercover tribal police made three cocaine purchases from Pacheco in August and September 1999 before he was arrested. He pleaded guilty to a drug dealing charge last June 29.
