White House summit could turn new leaf for tribes

The list of decades-old grievances that Native American nations have lodged against the federal government is lengthy and a source of great acrimony. But when hundreds of tribal leaders arrive Thursday in the nation's capital for a summit with President Barack Obama, the mood is expected to be mostly upbeat, even jovial.
