Video: Uranium Pollution in Sanders, Arizona

Video report from Cronkite News Service about water contaminated by 15,000 abandoned uranium mines on the Navajo Nation and throughout Indian country

EDITOR'S NOTE: While the U.S. frets about Flint, the lead-laden water in Michigan is eclipsed by contamination in parts of Indian country. Much of the drinking water on the Navajo Nation is radioactive, tainted by a good 15,000 abandoned uranium mines. Residents say that cancer is rampant. Several protested outside the offices of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency at the end of January to draw attention to their deadly water, and spoke to Cronkite News Service for this video report.
