At the FIL World Lacrosse Championships in Denver yesterday, New Zealand presented their version of the Haka ceremony to the Iroquois Nationals in honor of the Creator’s Game.
“It’s the energy that goes inside, the goose bumps, the emotion that was all behind it; it was definitely there,” Jeremy Thompson told Lax.com after the ceremony. “Right from the beginning, their prayer of welcome us, for us to come here. Right when they started doing the Haka, it was just, it was all on.”
The Iroquois Nationals face England tonight on ESPN3.
