Video: Native Journalists Take Over DC at the 2015 NAJA Conference

Earlier this month, hundreds of Native American journalists from all over the country came together just outside of Washington, D.C.

Earlier this month, hundreds of Native American journalists from all over the country came together just outside of Washington, D.C. at the Hyatt in Arlington’s Crystal City for a week long Native American Journalists Conference.

The conference happened to fall on several historic events as Amanda Blackhorse, the lead plaintiff in Blackhorse vs. Pro Football Inc. would win a decisive victory against the Washington team and the White House would hold its first Tribal Youth Gathering.

In this recap video of the NAJA Conference, it is plain to see the event was filled with enthusiasm and synergy as Native American journalists as well as Native people in general are finding their voice is becoming more and more regarded at a national level.
