In this installment of Cooking Healthy in Indian Country, Meagen Baldy shows viewers how to cut deer meat off the bone, a good skill to know during hunting season.
She shows viewers how to take a deer ham, and get all the meat off the bone. “Basically, I’m just cutting the meat away from the bone, it’s the first step to butchering your deer ham,” she says in the video.
“I’m going to let the meat talk to me, and tell me where to cut it,” she explains. She also says it’s important to have good knives for butchering.
