In this installment of Cooking Healthy in Indian Country Meagen Baldy shows viewers how to make salmon patties using canned salmon caught at Hoopa.
Per usual, she’ll be throwing in some kale, as well as some cabbage and onion.
She says she would usually use oatmeal, but all she has is Farina, so that’s what she is using. She explains that with all the healthy ingredients the patties are a bit more difficult to keep together, but it’s doable.
Baldy also prefers baking to frying for the health benefits.
“We’re looking at a heart-healthy dish here,” she says as she packs her patties onto the cookie sheet.
