Many in Indian country were upset by pictures of supermodel and Victoria's Secret Angel Karlie Kloss wearing a sacred feather headdress and very little else at the lingerie maker's annual fashion show. Some are troubled by a rash of high-profile incidents involving insensitive use of Native American culture—Ruth Hopkins, for example, cited the episodes involving No Doubt and Paul Frank Industries in a column entitled "Victoria's Secret Is Asking to Be Boycotted", while Sasha Houston Brown opined that "Nothing Says Native American Heritage Month Like White Girls in Headdresses."

"We are sorry that the Native American headdress in our fashion show has upset individuals. The outfit will be removed from the broadcast." The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will air on CBS on Tuesday, December 4.
