UA prof's Indian Health Service nomination passes Senate committee

The U.S. Senate Indian Affairs Committee has endorsed the nomination of Yvette Roubideaux to lead the Indian Health Service. Roubideaux, a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, is an assistant professor in the University of Arizona's College of Medicine. Word of the Senate panel's confirmation of the nomination on Thursday came from South Dakota Sen. Tim Johnson.
