Jeffrey Martin Lilley of St. John was sentenced Jan. 17 before U.S. District Senior Judge Patrick A. Conmy to three years in prison, one year of supervised release and ordered to pay a $100 special assessment to the Crime Victim's Fund and perform 25 hours of community service. Lilley pleaded guilty Oct. 31 to causing a female victim to engage in a sexual act by use of force - aggravated sexual assault. The incidents occurred in June 1999 on the reservation. The case was investigated by the BIA and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Dave Peterson.
