Oneida Nation Homelands – (September 24, 2014) – Turning Stone Resort Casino is stuffing guests this fall with a mix of drinking and food-focused events, which kick-off this week. From beer and wine dinners, to tailgating and a weeklong Oktoberfest celebration, Turning Stone is Central New York’s top destination for eating and drinking.

On Wednesday, September 24, guests are invited to Upstate Tavern’s Beer Dinner. For $45, guests can enjoy a five-course meal with special beer pairings from Southern Tier Brewing Company. Pairings include pumpkin ravioli, topped with Pumking butter sauce and salt roasted pumpkin seeds paired with Pumking beer, venison bangers and mash paired with Porter beer, and butternut squash and braised lamb risotto paired with Warlock stout.

For guests who prefer wine pairings, Turning Stone’s AAA Four Diamond rated Wildflowers restaurant is celebrating the fall season with an intimate wine dinner on Thursday, September 25. Barry Manville, certified trainer for Trinchero Family Wine Estates, will present a Napa vs. Sonoma comparative wine dinner. This extraordinary evening is $85 per person for a five course dinner.

Turning Stone also offers something for guests who want to cheer for their favorite team while eating and drinking. With DIRECTV, countless large-screen TVs, and mouth-watering food and beer specials, Turning Stone has the best football tailgate in town. Upstate Tavern is offering $30 football specials every Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, which includes two select appetizers with either a bucket or pitcher of beer. During Thursday and Sunday games, guests can tailgate with $2.50 beers and all-you-can eat BBQ at Tin Rooster and for all games at Over/Under Sports Bar, guests can enjoy munchies for less than $8 and beers starting at $2.50.

The resort’s fall food celebration continues with Turning Stone’s Oktoberfest, a weeklong, property-wide celebration of beer, brats and schnitzel. From October 1 - 5, guests can enjoy restaurant specials at Tin Rooster, Upstate Tavern, Season’s Harvest, and Emerald, including smoked pork loin schnitzel sandwich, brats, sauerbraten, and sour cream apple walnut streusel pie. 

During the Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, October 4, guests can put on their lederhosen for Turning Stone’s first-ever OktoBEERfest, a one-day-only beer tasting event. Held at the Event Center from 3pm – 7pm, guests can taste a variety of popular and seasonal beers from breweries including Bells Brewing, Smuttynose, Dogfish Head Brewing, Switchback, Saranac, Empire, Ithaca, and more. Live authentic German Oktoberfest music will be provided by The Krazy Fireman and German food including brats, Wiener schnitzel, chowder, pretzels, sauerbraten, will be available to purchase. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Turning Stone is also selling a $10 designated driver ticket.
