The Tohono O’odham Nation, which is seeking to build a casino resort on land next to Glendale, filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the city, requesting that a state court review promptly the city’s recent attempt to revive a long-dead annexation of the Nation’s property. After consistently treating this property as unincorporated for more than eight years, Glendale now says that a portion of the land was actually annexed into the city in 2001, according to the suit.
