Tribe pushes gaming plans

If the Mashpee Wampanoags win federal approval to build a resort-style casino in Fall River before the state legalizes casino gaming, the state could lose out on tax revenues and licensing fees, state Sen. Stanley C. Rosenberg said. "I believe that we are going to see expanded gaming in Massachusetts, and the more control we're going to have over the situation, the better the state's interests are going to be protected," Rosenberg, D-Amherst, said Tuesday.
