Lawyers for a Smith Island cake business and the Accohannock Indian Tribe are ironing out a settlement between the two parties rather than taking their differences to court. A settlement has been reached "in principle," and is being put in writing, says Robin Cockey, attorney for Sweet Shop owner Gary Tull. Cockey said he was not at liberty to discuss details of the agreement, which must be completed within 60 days.
