LINCOLN, Calif. – Just weeks after the opening of its new steakhouse High Steaks and with the opening of its new hotel, spa and pool around the corner in July, Thunder Valley Casino Resort recently received seven KCRA A*List Awards including its first Best Steakhouse and its fourth consecutive Best Casino award. The NBC affiliate station announced the winners online.
Thunder Valley’s Koi Palace received Best Chinese Restaurant in the “Good Eats” category for the second year in a row. The Feast Around the World Buffet also won the Best Seafood category, beating out last year’s champion, Scott’s Seafood. The newly remodeled Thunder Café placed second in the Best Breakfast category.
Both Thunder Valley bars also won top honors, Falls Bar received Best Trendy Bar and Thunder Bar received the award for Best Sports Bar.
“This is just further affirmation of the incredible dining and entertainment options we have at Thunder Valley Casino Resort,” said CJ Graham, Thunder Valley general manager. “Building on last year’s six A*List awards and taking home Best Steakhouse for the first time and Best Casino for the fourth year really raises the bar as we prepare to open our new hotel, spa and pool. The new Thunder Valley Casino Resort will be unlike anything this region has seen before.”
The KCRA A*List Awards are voted on online by the public at KCRA.com.
New logo and Web site
As part of the build up to the grand opening of its new hotel, spa, pool and expanded casino this July, Thunder Valley Casino Resort launched a new logo and Web site on June 1.
The new logo incorporates a subtle black bear paw print to represent the United Auburn Indian Community as well as the letters “T” and “V” for Thunder Valley. It was developed by Mering Carson advertising and could actually be seen in the background of the unexpectations.com billboards around Northern California over the past several weeks.
“We designed a new logo because Thunder Valley Casino Resort is an entirely new facility with luxurious amenities, exciting games and an unparalleled experience,” Graham said. “From the moment guests pull into the new seven-story parking garage and begin to notice all of the little unexpected touches by our team members, they will see that it is unlike anything this region has ever seen before.”
The new Web site was launched June 1 at the same URL – www.thundervalleyresort.com. The site has an intuitive structure and friendly navigation that will allow users to immediately find the information they need from any page. Promotions will be highlighted in every section of the site and users can book hotel packages and rooms online as well as register for a Thunder Club card and e-mail and mobile communication updates.
There will also be an Asian version of the Web site launching July 1 with the same content as the English version.
