Overlooking the Banning Pass, the Morongo Indian Reservation spans more than 35,000 acres of changing terrain, from high desert vistas to striking mountains, lush forests and flowing creeks. The reservation is one of nine established in 1876 by President Ulysses S. Grant, tribal historians and records show.
