Task force formed to resolve Klamath water problems

WASHINGTON - A Cabinet-level task force has been formed to resolve the complex water situation in the Klamath Basin.

President Bush announced late on March 8 the establishment of the Klamath River Basin Federal Working Group to deal with the competing interests of American Indian nations, conservationists, fishing and agriculuturalists.

The group includes Interior Secretary Gale Norton, Commerce Secretary Don Evans and Secretary of Agricluture Ann Veneman.
