Spring chinook fishing will remain open at Wind River and Drano Lake, a state fishery manager said Monday, despite a request from the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission for a closure. The four-tribe commission has reiterated its dismay with Washington and Oregon’s management of this year’s spring chinook salmon run, and is asking for sport-fishing closures.
