The centuries-old remains of an American Indian male dug up at a construction site Wednesday morning will remain in county custody, and work on the site will cease until the state can determine which tribal descendants have legal claim. The remains were discovered by workers digging water lines about 10:30 a.m. at the building site of a new gymnasium at San Ramon Valley High School, police said. Authorities have generally ruled out foul play in the death, which occurred more than 200 years ago.
