Henry St. Germaine Sr. was sworn in as president of Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians on October 13.

The Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians held its general elections on October 7, with Henry St. Germaine Sr. being named president.

St. Germaine Sr. garnered 450 votes, just edging out Joseph G. Wildcat who received 404 votes respectively.

St. Germaine Sr. along with other winners were sworn into office on Monday, October 13.

Tom Maulson, former president, saw his chances of a third consecutive term end in the primary elections.

Five tribal members were elected to serve on the Tribal Council, they were Jamie Allen, Charles Burgess, John Johnson, and Frank Mitchell Sr. The council seat formally held by St. Germaine Sr. remained unfilled as of press time.
