Overcrowded classrooms on the reservation have led local leaders to expand educational facilities. Construction is expected to start in April on a new middle school which will be added to the existing Four Winds High School. The middle school, estimated to cost about $3 million, would serve grades six through eight. It is funded in part with a grant. "Hopefully, having the program will help those kids make a transition into high school a whole lot easier," said Charles Guthrie, the Four Winds superintendent.
