Soboba tribe saluted for role in Indian adoptions law

The Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians' tribal council was recognized at an Indian child welfare conference Thursday for sponsoring legislation related to adoptions of Indian children. Rosemary Morillo, council vice chairwoman, accepted a Native American blanket from representatives of organizations that helped with the bill, according to a news release by Mike Hiles, Soboba public relations representative.
