Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of the Fort Hall Reservation of Idaho

Author:

A Salt Lake City film crew visited the tribes in late January to shoot a video package highlighting the history of reservations in Arizona, Utah and Idaho. The three-person crew is part of International Sports Broadcasting, which will provide all of the sports footage at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. The finished product will be sold to any national or global network wanting to use it before or during the Winter Games. Organizers of the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, created a similar video package about that country's native Aborigine population. The Sho-Ban will receive help from former Utah Ute Tribal Councilman Larry Blackhair, chairman of the Native America 2002 Foundation who serves on several Olympic committees. The Sho-Ban were selected last fall as host tribes for the Olympics.
