Shawn ‘The Sioux Warrior’ Hawk remains undefeated

CROW CREEK RESERVATION, S.D. – “The Sioux Warrior,” or Shawn Hawk, remains undefeated in the professional ranks after a bout Oct. 25 in Columbia, S.C., against Josh Green. He won by knockout in the second round of a scheduled 10-round fight.

The fight, on the undercard to the International Boxing Federation’s Super Middleweight World Championship bout, is scheduled to be televised by tape delay on the FOX sports network in November.

This win brings Hawk’s professional record to 17 wins and 0 losses, with 15 of those wins coming by knockout. The win also gives him the USBO cruiserweight title. He is scheduled to defend that title at another fight in South Carolina sometime in February (date to be determined).

Hawk is from the Crow Creek Reservation in South Dakota, where his father, Ray Hawk, lives and serves as his manager. He is trained by Steve Rowland from Las Vegas.

Ray Hawk also manages the Native American Warriors Pro-Boxing/Pro-Mixed Martial Arts Network, an organization dedicated to creating career and economic opportunities for American Indians from throughout the upper Midwest. Several members of this group are now fighting professionally, Shawn Hawk being one of them.
