"Celebrate 2000 Read!" is the theme of the summer reading program beginning July 3 at the Seneca Nation Library for children of all ages. There is a "Read to Me" club for preschoolers. There will be a weekly activity day for children 6 to 12, limited to 15 students. The program is sponsored by the public libraries of New York state to encourage read-round reading. Sign-up ends June 30.

"A Seneca Nation of Indians flag has joined those flying above the Randolph Tourist Information Booth on Interstate 86. The bright red banner depicting the clans and reservations of the Nation greets visitors traveling from the west, signaling their approach to Seneca territory. The booth is operated by the Randolph Area Business Association.
