Miller & Schroeder Investments Corp. of Minneapolis announced in late April it had completed a $42,565,000 loan to the band which operates the Chumash Casino in northern Santa Barbara County. Proceeds will be sued to expand the existing casino, purchase gaming equipment and build a five-level parking garage. Upon completion the project will increase the band's existing slot machine count from 860 to 2,000. Completion is scheduled this month. "Miller & Schroeder have efficiently put together the financing on our behalf and we acknowledge and are grateful of their professionalism and commitment to our project," affirmed Santa Ynez Chairman Vincent Armenta.
