The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians has hailed 10 years since signing an agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce to house an export assistance office on its land, the first partnership of its kind between the federal agency and a sovereign American Indian tribe. Thursday morning, regional government leaders joined the tribe and federal commerce officials at the tribal community center to celebrate the agreement signed by former tribal chairman Henry Duro.
