Started on the Akwesasne Mohawk Territory in 2015, Native Releaf is breaking into a new market: disposable, CBD (cannabidiol) e-Pens.
Most vapable products are nicotine based or inspired, but this roughly 100-puff, toss-when-finished e-Pen simply consists of 30 percent Cannabidiol (CBD) "with a balance of other naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes." Containing no nicotine or marijuana, the non-habit-forming product is lab certified for purity, never coming into contact with pesticides, herbicides or fumigants.
Saint Regis Mohawk tribal member and businessman Ryan Dale White behind Native Releaf’s cannabidiol vapor e?Pen sees naturally derived substances like CBD as rooted in both Native and American history.
"The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe and all Native North Americans have historically used herbs, sweet grasses and other plants given to us by the earth for a variety of functions and purposes," White said in a press release. He feels passionately that "CBD is one of mother nature's resources that has yet to reach it fullest potential in Indian country and beyond.
"The internet speaks volumes about CBD; however, we make no claims regarding its health and wellness benefits," White stresses. "We are simply looking to offer our tribal members and retail customers a tobacco alternative that helps them kick?back and chill."
Native Releaf’s CBD is derived from carefully cultivated industrial hemp. The plant is cold?pressed as part of the essential oil extraction process. Native Releaf only utilizes certified labs to test each harvest to insure no herbicides, pesticides, heavy metals or other toxic contaminants are ever used in the growing fields. Native Releaf uses no vegetable glycerin (VG), or propylene glycol (PG), only the naturally occurring essential oils found in the industrial hemp plant itself.
White has partnered with cutting?edge hemp and medical marijuana industry expert’s Scott Bramble, David Kimmel and Dylan Trotter to deliver "the highest quality CBD e?Pen available," the release states.
Sold for $29 and tax-free for people over 21 years of age, the pens can be purchased through participating retailers on the Saint Regis Mohawk Indian Reservation, and they're soon to be on reservation vendor shelves throughout the northeast. Interested parties can also email Native Releaf their order for payment options at: email@example.com. CBD is legal in the United States.
