The Southern Ute Indian Tribe has suspended its Tribal Code of Ethics, a move the tribe's former director of the community center said undermines the tribe's credibility with its members, employees and nontribal entities with which it deals. “The tribe, as the largest employer in La Plata County, should have a mechanism to deal with redress of ethical grievances," Kip Koso said Friday.
