Richland city leaders and Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Nation leaders gathered Wednesday in Pendleton, but found a gap between them on plans for Columbia Point South. The Richland Public Facilities District's plans to build a Hanford Reach Interpretive Center on the piece of land at the confluence of the Columbia and Yakima rivers was one of the main reasons for the joint meeting between the city council and the tribal board of trustees.
