Q&A with Indian Health Service director Yvette Roubideaux

Yvette Roubideaux became director of the Indian Health Service in May, inheriting an agency that has been chronically underfunded and is responsible for a population that suffers higher rates of disease and mortality than any other racial group in America. Roubideaux, a graduate of Harvard Medical School, is a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe in South Dakota and worked as an IHS doctor in Arizona.
