The Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial is standing up to help families in Texas and Oklahoma affected by storms by encouraging fans and the public to donate cash directly to the American Red Cross during the tournament through today in Fort Worth, Texas. Around Colonial throughout the tournament will be Red Cross stations accepting donations which directly support Storm Relief through the American Red Cross. Fans donating will be given red ribbons to wear in support. [Note from PGATour.com: Our hearts go out to all those affected by the devastation in Oklahoma. Show Support - Wear RED on Sunday
To show consolidated support for Storm Relief and the American Red Cross, the tournament is encouraging all fans and players to wear red during Sunday’s final round of the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. In memory of those who lost their lives in the Texas-Oklahoma storms, small flags from both states will be placed in the flower beds on the 18th hole.

Rickie Fowler, Navajo, in conjunction with an initiative from one of his corporate sponsors, Crowne Plaza, plans to match the funds--up to $100,000--donated by fans during this week's Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.
John Peterson, Justin Bolli, Casey Wittenberg, Nicholas Thompson and Stuart Appleby have all pledged to donate $100 for every birdie and $500 for every eagle they make during the four days of the tournament that will go directly to American Red Cross for Storm Relief.
Charlie Beljan will donate $100 for each birdie and $1,000 for each eagle he makes this week to the Red Cross of Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.
Fowler will be contributing up to $100,000 to help the victims of the recent devastating storms in Oklahoma and Texas. His sponsors PUMA and CobraPumaGolf helped him get the PRAY FOR OK logo added to his shirt for the Colonial tournament.
As it's Memorial Day weekend, it's also worth noting that Fowler's charitable foundation, Folds of Honor, is "rallying a nation to ensure no family is left behind in the fight to preserve American freedom. Through scholarships and other assistance, we give back to the spouses and children of soldiers killed or disabled in service to our country. We provide healing, hope and an opportunity for dreams to be realized...with the support of people like you. We feel this is our duty as citizens of the greatest country in the world."
