Did you hear what President Obama said about immigrants and Native Americans in a speech he gave on November 24? We confess we missed this one in the Thanksgiving shuffle. Speaking in Chicago, the POTUS discussed the tendency of groups already here to try to keep new waves of immigrants out. His words:
"There have been periods where the folks who were already here suddenly say, 'Well, I don’t want those folks,' even though the only people who have the right to say that are some Native Americans."
This plain statement of fact (similar to something the President said in Las Vegas nearly two years ago) was bound to rub conservative talking heads the wrong way, and it sure did. Here's the pithy part, isolated, with (if you can take it) some Fox News commentary afterward:
