We've put together a great list of powwows happening all across the nation this weekend just for you!

If one of these incredible events is located near you, we recommend heading over to enjoy some lively dancing and drumming, thrilling musical performances, and delicious, authentic foods!

56th Annual O-Sa-Wan Pow Wow, Illinois

When & Where: August 11th – 12th at the Will County Fairgrounds in Peotone, Illinois.

Presented by the Mascoutin Society of Chicagoland, the 56th Annual O-Sa-Wan Pow Wow is open to the public and are invited to “experience a little of the rich Native American culture.” Grand entry is at 1PM on Saturday; followed by social dancing from 7PM – 10PM. 17th Annual Mihsihkinaahkwa Pow Wow, Indiana

When & Where: August 10th – 12th at the Morsches Park in Columbia City, Indiana.

Hosted by the Miami Nation, this weekend event kicks off at 5PM on Friday night and will feature a special performance by Adam Strack. There will be a 5K Fun Run Saturday morning. Runners will begin registration at 7:15AM. Festivities will include traditional dances such as Jingle Dress, Two Step, Fancy, and more! For more in formation, click here.

21st Annual Odawa Homecoming Pow Wow, Michigan

When & Where: August 11th – 12th at the LTBB Pow Wow Grounds in Harbor Springs, Michigan.

Gates open at 11AM Saturday morning. Festivities will include intertribal dancing, hand drum contest, and a film workshop in the Little Traverse Bay Band (LTBB) Governmental Center. There will also be a viewing of More Than Frybread, a fictional Frybread competition mockumentary, in the LTBB Government Center Saturday night. For more information about this event, click here.

18th Annual Sacramento Contest Powwow, California

When & Where: August 10th – 12th at O’Neil Park in Sacramento, California.

Beginning Friday night at 10PM, the Sacramento Contest Powwow will kick of its 18th year of celebration. Grand entry will be at 1PM and 7PM on Saturday and 1PM on Sunday. Your Master of ceremony will be Earl Neconie. Admission is $5. For more information, click here.
