In need of a little powwow action this weekend? You've come to the right place because we've put together a great list pow wows happening all over the nation!

If one of these events are located near you, we suggest you head on over and enjoy some thrilling dances, lively musical performances, and, of course, delicious traditional foods!

Gathering of Nations 2012, New Mexico

When & Where: April 26th - 28th at the University of New Mexico Arena "The Pit" in Albuquerque, New Mexico

This year's Gathering of Nations invites everyone to "come see the colorful PowWow dancing and to hear the songs and become enlightened with emotional happiness!" Festivities for this weekend event will include, Miss Indian World, competitive dancing, drumming, and singing, as well as the Indian Traders Market. MSU - Northern Sweetgrass Society Pow wow, Montana

When & Where: April 27th - 28th at the Montana State University's Northern Gym in Harve, Montana.

According to their website the Sweetgrass Society "sponsors one of the largest powwows in north-central Montana." This year's event will have a grand entry on Friday at 6pm and another grand entry at 12pm. Admission is free and all are welcome. Your MC will be Sam Vernon Windy Boy. American Indian Pow Wow - Celebration of Life for all People?, Virginia

When & Where: April 28th at Mount Trashmore Park in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

This weekend event will begin at 11am on Saturday and end at 6pm. Your grand entry will be at 12pm and the inter-tribal dancing will begin at 12:30pm. Admission is free and the American Indian Pow Wow invites everyone to "experience Native American culture as it is showcased through spirited music, intertribal dancing and drumming, and American Indian cuisine at this interactive and educational event.
